Did you hear a scream for help? -How to cure depression and anxiety.
I wont start this article with a blame of the modern world, life styles, globalization, stress like every article begins. Humans are beings of constant evolution and placing blame anywhere is just avoiding the real issue.
If people managed to get through Ice age, famine, wars you cant really blame the warmth of your home for the state you have found yourself.
It is a wake up call however
Like I did, you may also find different texts describing symptoms you may feel at this point of life and it will lead to definitions of depression and anxiety, but you are already familiar of this sensations, but I wonder if you will find a text that directly gives you the cause.
We may say what we want, but depression and anxiety are not exactly well accepted in society as many other “disturbances”, but in fact they should be greeted and necessary for development or even, we may say for evolution of conscience or awareness.
I remember one article, an “interesting” article named “5 things which you should not say to person effected by depression and/or anxiety”, which actually made me lough. I do not remember all of the things, but one was “It is all in your head” and the second “Move yourself or shake up”, the funny thing is that this is exactly what a person needs to comprehend by him/herself. and I ask why one should not be granted or helped by another who probably already went through similar experience?
Did you know that around 20% (1 out of 5) of people are effected in every moment, yesterday, now when I am writing, tomorrow? This is statistical, but the fact is that everyone goes through it in its own way.
We can remember a good old times, when a good old well intentioned slap on the face would do miracles and at least you were given an assistance by a person that is next to you and cares for you, instead of avoidance like you are effected by a plague or something else, which also wouldn't be very human of you to avoid if it would be the case.
No worries, I do not encourage slapping, as the approach by itself is aggressive, but I will encourage the power of the word which can have far better “weight” than a simple slap. But again, if it is a slap or nothing, I would go for a good old slap or anything that would trigger the screws in my brain to move again.
I could tell you my life story, but I do not see the importance in saying it. I could only say that my life was full of wrong choices, actions and pretense and nobody should find himself in my example instead of its own. I will maybe right a book one day.
The cause and the reason for our condition may be different, but usually it is said to be complex. Childhood issues, raising and growing up, situation in the family, different addictions (nicotine, alcohol and other opiates and narcotics), forced habits, social status, love issues and fantasies, fears.
It all comes to all the bullshit that have poisoned our mind and trigger us to be different from what we really are. The condition is a reaction of a rational brain to all the lies and deceptions you are forcing yourself each and every day. It is a fight!
Some of you wont find yourself in any of mentioned above, but it is important as a start to acknowledge and admit to yourself the complexity of the condition, because you are in a complex state, but behind that state lies “the great” simplicity and opportunity to wake up and realize. The final reward is and will be the absolute humanity.
I do not want to go further in details and to take away the moment of personal understanding and enlightenment, but I will count simulations that helped me a lot in finding my way back among the living, as personal experience is of upmost value to go through your condition and this path presents experience, not learning.
The order is not important, you may try a couple or all or none, it is your choice.
Even if you are nihilist, atheist or agnostic, the moment of your creation, the gift of life and the moment of birth you can not negate and even if it is hard in this moments to find gratitude there is nothing stopping you to pray. Pray to your own gods, to life or to your self, because all the gods, all the life is in you and you wont be refused if you honestly ask for help. In time you will learn to show gratitude.
Think, rethink and think some more about everything. Every thought, every stand, every opinion. Strip and devalue everything to its bone. Find those sorrows, pain and fears and face them, as those fit in “it is all in your head part” which is the absolute truth. Think about life, think about what you really own and what you really owe. Think about yourself and all the external influences and information's which have deceived you from simplicity of living and its beauties. Think, think, think, but keep in mind that you may find and feel anger and let the anger be a reminder that you are thinking in a wrong way and then dig deeper, beyond the realm of anger.
Read (as you are doing now), explore and let your self develop the critical thinking which has to be the source of the honest critic directed both to the personal and else’s opinion. It is the best way to push those brain cells which are currently in a limbo or in a poisoned cycle of a poisoned mind. The ability of learning does last for a life time and please do not be discouraged by anything anyone will say, as they did when you were a kid. It is unfortunate that knowledge today, when it comes to public education, also gets a constantly rising price tag and I do agree that it is disappointing to live in a world where even love and family could be valued by money. It has become such a strong criteria in a capitalist society that it represents the major intruder in a modern human conscience. With this conscience we can witness some changes and I can welcome a free online courses available by some universities, where you can discover your potential interests or even start learning from the beginning to see what you have forget.

Be spontaneous and creative, accept invitations and challenges, do not refuse them. Find a hobby and inspire that unpredictable side of yourself, which is the representation of life itself. If you have troubles finding one, well, start with writing, drawing, painting, photography as they are easy available and will allow you to express your emotions and creativity and most important to notice the world around you.
We can follow up on the old saying that the healthy mind is stored in a healthy body. So exercise, work on your body, because your mind works along with your body, but be careful how you are working out not to exhaust your self. Live that pride behind and work smooth with your body, reject the stereotypes and show love to your body. Explore yoga, meditation, go for a walk or run in a park or even better the closest forest. Initiate a positive change! If it is difficult to start for any reason, start with one push up, one squat and one abs and each day add one to each, that should push you on the move.
The most important step is to accept yourself as a friend, you have to become a best friend to yourself, but always keep in mind that selfishness has nothing to do with selfness. No matter what kind of social standards exist wherever you are, the only thing that you really posses and have the complete freedom is yourself and your choices. You are your own greatest value and everything that happens for you, around you is happening in your mind, so try to find friendly thoughts.
Every second of every day you have a choice to choose between good and bad. What you think, what you say and what you do. Zarathustra would be happy now.
Do your best to be just and righteous it is the basis of a calm and a relaxed mind. Give it some thought.
Analyze offensive thoughts. Disturbed mind wont back up so easy and will support hatred and anger as you can see it in every day life, people that have been twisted and crippled by the false thoughts and fabrications of their disturbed mind. Who can tell how many personalities we are able to develop? And each one of them will fight to the death to survive, but there is only one true personality as we are beings of life and our basic personality is unique, natural and capable of understanding all the beauties of life and life itself.
Return to nature and natural because nature is the place where we belong and are coming from.
Explore ancient methods of healing and self-healing, they have been present for much longer then the modern medicine. The fact is that Homo Sapiens (the “wise” human) has evolved approximately 200000 years ago, so how did he manage to survive without all those magic pills? Which medicine is really alternative medicine? I wont write further about the ancient methods as there is a lot of them but I do encourage you to research and explore. It will help you to understand your narrow-mindedness in different moments of rejection. Play with your mind!
Finally, GROW UP! Be responsible, honest, independent and daring.
It does not matter who you are, what you are or where you are, depression, anxiety and whatever label of psychological problems can happen to anyone and it does too happen to everyone, hence it is important what you will recognize, acknowledge and understand and my only plea is that you recognize the truth as it is painful to live in the world of corroded people, bitter as they turned their back to life and continue in agony of black thoughts. obscured and paralyzed from life.
Choose love, not hate! Hatred has that bouncing effect and acknowledge that you can not fight hatred with hatred, because you lost that fight as soon as you started. Do not fear, be brave! There is nothing to lose really.
If you completely decide to cherish yourself, you will be a delight in the eyes of others. There is a lot of wisdom when said “learn to love your self to be able to love another”
You may bombard me with different questions and if I can help in anyway please do, but keep in mind that we all have lost somebody or something, it is just our reasoning which is making the problems. This is our self-destruct mode and selfishness at its worst, because nobody that we care about or who cares about us, wouldn't want us to feel the way we do.
The idea of death must unite with the idea of life and you will know that there is nothing to be lost. Life must become a gracious way of dying. A beautiful circle of life.
