Depression is not a mental disorder. It is an inevitable part of human condition. Simply put it is an inner reaction between the surrounding world, flawed identity and a call for awareness and awakening. Depression is the most sacred state where one can explore, critically question and challenge existence. As it is not a disease, and even the modern views in psychology do not classify it as normal or abnormal, there can be no cure for something that is genuine in our being. Different substances may disguise or suppress depression, but at what cost?
